Chat Online

You can reach Spectrum through an online chat with a customer service agent. That chat service is available 24/7 and can answer most customer service questions you may have. If the online chat customer service agent cannot assist you, they will give you further options to contact customer service.

To chat with Spectrum online:

  1. Go to spectrum.net/contact-us.
  2. Scroll down to the box on the left side with the heading “Ask Spectrum” and click.
  3. A chat window will open and prompt you to enter your zip code to continue.

Visit a Store

Stopping into your local Spectrum store can also get you customer service assistance. Maybe you haven’t had luck with calling or chatting online and would prefer to speak with a person face to face. Whatever the case, the store is there to help you. 

  1. Go to spectrum.net/contact-us.
  2. Scroll down near the bottom where there are four boxes across the page. Find the one on the left with the heading “Find Spectrum Stores.”
  3. Enter your ZIP code or allow the site to use your location to find your local Spectrum store.

Spectrum Bill Pay

It’s easy to pay your Spectrum bill online. By simply logging into your account, you can access Spectrum Bill Pay to make a one-time payment or sign up for Auto Pay to have your payments automatically withdrawn when they’re due each month. Other ways you can pay your Spectrum bill include:

Spectrum Outages

Spectrum Troubleshooting

Resetting Spectrum Router

If you’re having internet connectivity issues, one of the most common solutions is to reset your router. First, check what router you have and follow the correct set of instructions. If you still need help, check out Spectrum’s help page on the topic.

If you have a one-piece modem/router combo (Gateway) or modem only:

  1. Unplug the power cord from the gateway or modem and remove any batteries.
  2. Wait 60 seconds, and then reinsert any batteries and reconnect the power cable.
  3. Wait at least two minutes to allow the modem to power up. The modem’s lights should gradually turn on to confirm the device has power and is connected to the internet.
  4. Check your internet connection to make sure it’s working.

If you have modem with separate WiFi router:

  1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the modem and remove any batteries.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the WiFi router.
  3. Wait 60 seconds, and then reinsert any batteries and reconnect power to the modem.
  4. Wait at least two minutes to allow the modem to power up. The modem’s lights should gradually turn on to confirm the device has power and is connected to the internet.
  5. Reconnect the power to your WiFi router. Allow at least two minutes for your router to finish powering on.
  6. Check your internet connection to make sure it’s working.

Connecting to Spectrum WiFi Hotspots

As a Spectrum customer, you have unlimited WiFi access to hotspots on SpectrumWiFi, SpectrumWiFi Plus, CableWiFi, and Boingo. The most secure of these is SpectrumWiFi Plus, which requires you to download this security certificate onto your device. 

Once you’ve found available Spectrum WiFi, do the following:

  1. Enable WiFi on your mobile device.
  2. Select SpectrumWiFi, SpectrumWiFi Plus, CableWiFi or Boingo from the list of available networks.
  3. Enter your Spectrum username and password.
  4. Review the Terms & Conditions and then select Sign In to accept.
  5. Enter a nickname for your device to sign in automatically in the future.
  6. Select Continue to connect to the Spectrum WiFi network.
