CenturyLink Internet At-A-Glance

Since 1968, CenturyLink has offered excellent service and pricing options to its customers. CenturyLink is an internet service provider offering residential, small business and enterprise connectivity services across 36 states.

What makes CenturyLink unique is their Price For Life option. When you sign up for internet access, you don’t have to deal with any contracts or worry about rising prices. The price you sign up with is the price you’ll pay as long as you have CenturyLink service.

Why CenturyLink Internet?

  • Price For Life guarantee on its internet plans
  • A wide selection of download speeds to accommodate many household needs
  • A generous data cap of 1 TB for traditional plans and unlimited internet usage with its fiber internet plan
  • No contracts, so you can cancel at any time without incurring any fees
  • Bundle with DIRECTV and home phone service to save money on more services

CenturyLink Internet Plans

CenturyLink internet plans are based on what speed you’re looking for. The smallest plans are sufficient for casual internet usage for one person, but as your internet needs grow, so should your internet speed. All of CenturyLinks plans, except for the Fiber Gigabit, offer a 1 TB data cap.

The Fiber Gigabit plan has unlimited data. All plans come without contracts and are a month-to-month commitment. For any internet plan you choose, you may have to either purchase or rent the modem, which is an additional cost to factor in.

Which Plan is Right for You?

Choosing the right plan depends on your priorities. You want to factor in your budget, your online activities and how many people will use the internet in your household. From there, you can decide which plan is a suitable choice for your needs.

For example, if you live in a household with one other person and both of you are on social media, stream movies and play online games, then the Price For Life 100 plan is a smart choice. You receive download speeds of 100 Mbps, which are perfect for streaming video in 4K. And you will pay $49/mo. for as long as you are with CenturyLink.

Meanwhile, if you work from home, have kids who love to game and everyone in your home streams video, you might need a faster plan. The Fiber Gigabit plan is an excellent option to consider, as it delivers download speeds as fast as 940 Mbps, making it perfect for uploading large work files, gaming and much more.
